Mark Wallace ruminates on the tyranny of realism in contemporary American lit and poses related observations, citing the non mainstream Fiction International a few other journals and a few presses. I could add a bunch more to the list. Mark Wallace and I have pieces in the latest "Freaks" issue. Let me add that my own journal is a kissing cousin of Fiction International. We specialize in unconventional narratives.
Perhaps we need a list of journals and presses.
